What is an Agate Stone?
Agate is a fine stone (formerly known as a semi-precious stone), belonging to the Chalcedony group. Agate stone reacts well to dyes, allowing for vibrant and uniform colors on durable stones to create colorful jewelry at a good price. Dyeing allows for obtaining all possible colors, as Agate is generally pale in color. Dyed Agate has a beautiful uniform color often translucent and maintains its hardness of 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale. Too Many Beads?
If you only want to create jewelry prototypes and need samples, or if you find that our beads on string are too numerous for your needs, we recommend taking a look at our individual beads.
