What is an Aquamarine Stone?
Aquamarine (from the Latin aqua marina, meaning "sea water") is a gemstone, formerly also known as a semi-precious stone. It is a variety of beryl. With its light blue color reminiscent of seawater, it is associated with travelers and sailors, and is also valued for its transparency and purity. The finest aquamarines come from Brazilian deposits. It has a hardness of 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale. Too Many Beads?
If you only want to create jewelry prototypes and need samples, or if you find that our beads on strands are too many for your needs, we recommend taking a look at our individual stones. Classified by shapes, they will allow you to create prototypes and unique gifts, such as men's bracelets and/or women's necklaces.
