What is a Cyanite Stone?
Cyanite (sometimes called Kyanite or Disthene) is a gemstone (formerly known as a semi-precious stone) recognizable by its denim blue color with a vitreous to pearly luster. It can also appear in darker blues and sapphire blue, often streaked with white. The most famous deposits are found in the Kali Gandaki Region, on the border between Nepal and Tibet. It has a hardness of 4-5 (longitudinal axis) and 6-7 (perpendicular axis) on the Mohs scale. If you want to learn more about its history and virtues, check out our article on Cyanite stone.
Too Many Beads?
If you only want to create jewelry prototypes and need samples, or if you find that our beads on strands are too numerous for your needs, we recommend taking a look at our individual beads. Classified by shapes, they will allow you to create prototypes as well as unique gifts to offer, such as men's bracelets and/or women's necklaces.
